The popular Symbian operating system for a time suddenly had an update after half a decade

Symbian is Nokia's operating system, which was quite popular during nearly a decade ago and it is expected to operate on netbooks and tablets. But in 2013, Nokia quickly stopped developing Symbian and the platform was also gradually abandoned by application developers.

However, the SIStor team is still working hard to develop new features and experiences for users of some Symbian devices. And recently, they released version 1.7 of the custom firmware called Delight. Although not an official update from Nokia, this is also good news for Symbian phone users.

Delight 1.7 will support three Nokia phones including Pureview, N8 and E7.

This update has many improvements and added many new features such as re-creating applications and redesigning widgets, adding transparency to the application. Delight 1.7 also includes important software components such as Python and Qt IAP that allow launching any third-party applications.

In addition, SIStore also incorporates a number of mods in this update, including MemSpy for a powerful task management application, X-Plore helps manage files with many features, mods that provide enhanced audio or new screen capture tool.
