Acer C720 is the first chromebook to run Intel Core i3 chip.

Computers running a network-based operating system and Google's web browser mostly use Intel Celeron or lower processors. However, the need to handle more heavy tasks has made Acer decide to launch the first model of the Chromebook equipped with an Intel Core i3 chip, the C720.

Specifically, this processor has a speed of 1.7 GHz, internal memory capacity of 32 GB. The version has 2 GB RAM for $ 350 while the 4 GB RAM costs $ 380. However, the screen still stops at a resolution of 1.366x768 pixels 11.6 inches in size. Acer said its battery can operate continuously for 8.5 hours after each charge.

Previously, the touch screen version of the C720, the C720p, has been rated by The Verge as the best Chromebook that users can buy today. This product has a good combination of performance, battery life and price.
