According to information from electronic magazine Asia Information Technology Digitimes, Taiwan-based computer makers Quanta, Wistron, Compal Electronics and Inventec will receive 13- 26% increase in laptop sales in 2010. In The biggest increase was in the products of Quanta and Wistron.

Wistron handed over this year's Toshiba laptop order. This is also the first contract of Japanese electronics company with Taiwanese computer company. And is a new shift in the production of its laptop products. In addition, Wistron has just received more orders for Dell Vostro laptops. But Dell still divided the order of manufacturing Latitude models for both Quanta, Compal and Wistron. Notably, since 2009 Wistron has officially been a laptop manufacturer for PC China Lenovo. Wistron will definitely "surpass" both Quanta and Compal in terms of volume. It is expected that the company will produce 3 million laptops for HP and 2 million laptops for Lenovo, not to mention there will be additional orders from new customers, Toshiba.

In addition, Quanta will produce 40% of HP's laptop sales in 2010 in addition to other orders from Lenovo, Apple and Sony. Digitimes said that the number of laptops Quanta will export in 2010 is about 45 - 48 million.

Meanwhile, Compal's laptop production only increased by 13% because of the strong competition from Quanta and not "playing close" to HP, the world's No. 1 PC company, and Inventec will take over the production. 30% of HP laptops are expected to be sold in 2010 and are likely to receive further order from Toshiba.
