Microsoft Teams adds new features to individual users

Microsoft wants users to stick with Teams even when not having to handle work.

Recently, Microsoft has updated many new features for Teams software. These features focus on supporting the personal life of ordinary users. Now, outside of work, Microsoft wants users to use Teams as a chat and video call application in daily life.

To try out new Teams features, do the following:

  1. If you've used the Teams mobile app, just click Settings , then select Add a account . You can login with your personal Microsoft account or create a new account with your phone number. In the Settings section, you can easily switch between personal and business accounts.
  2. If you have never used Teams before, you need to access the iOS or Android app store to download Teams. Then, sign in with an existing Microsoft account or create a new account with your phone number.

In addition to standard features for businesses, work that is already available on Teams, new features for individual users include:

  1. Share location: Location sharing feature of Teams will help you easily find your friends or vice versa. Location sharing supports both Teams for Business.
  2. The new Teams feature Safe, a secure closet where you store your important information. Safe uses security features with 2-factor authentication as well as E2EE encryption to ensure the security of your data.

Microsoft intends to add Teams more features for individual users in the future. Besides, later this year, the version of Teams for computers and on the web will also be updated.
