Microsoft: 150 million people are using the password-free login forms each month
According to the latest statistics of Microsoft, more than 150 million users are using passwordless logins on the company's service platforms every month. This is an impressive growth because at Ignite 2019 conference took place in November last year, this figure according to Microsoft's report is only 100 million people. As such, the number of people using password-free logins has increased by a half in the past 6 months.
The above statistics are done with major online service platforms of Microsoft such as Azure, GitHub, Office and Xbox, thus reflecting relatively accurately the login habits of a large number of users.

150 million Microsoft users no longer use ordinary passwordsFor ordinary password authentication, many people have a habit of using simple passwords or using the same password for multiple accounts, leading to an increased security breach.
As revealed by Microsoft, MFA authentication solutions have successfully prevented 99.9% of account hijacking (ATO) attacks. Meanwhile, the MFA bypass attack is very rare, so much so that the company didn't even record statistics about this hack.
In addition to improved account security, password-free login solutions often come with some economic benefits for the business itself, namely helping reduce technology support costs for common problems. Frequently happens with the password. Internally, most Microsoft employees have also switched to Microsoft's password-free login system.
"100% of the IT team and 90% of Microsoft employees have switched to login authentication without having to enter a password. As a result, the cost associated with password support has decreased by 87%," Joy Chik said. , Vice President of Microsoft Identity, said.
