Google is working hard to develop a unified platform-independent virtual reality that aims to bring the objects displayed on the web in real life. Recently, Google demonstrated the ability to integrate AR (Augmented Reality) directly into the web platform, specifically in the Chrome browser at the Google I / O event. And with Google's new WebXR Device API, you can experience this new feature directly on the Chrome Canary version.

The feeling that you can drag an item on the web into the room to see if the item is appropriate before spending money on it must be great.

To experience virtual reality on the web you will need:

  1. Chrome Canary browser.
  2. Device that supports ARCore. You can view a list of ARCore-compatible devices in the article: Get Google's Measure measurement app, which supports all Android-compatible ARCore smartphones.

Step 1: Download and install the ARCore by Google application on the supported device.
