Instructions for inserting special characters into Word documents

The following article details how to insert special characters into text.

Step 1: Place the cursor at the position where you want to insert special characters -> Go to the INSERT tab -> Symbol .

Step 2: A list of characters is displayed if the character you want to insert is in the list you click on that character.

Step 3: If the character you want to insert is not in the list, click More Symbols .

Step 4: The Symbol dialog box appears, select the character you want to insert by double-clicking on the character or clicking on the character and click Insert .

Attention:

- Font section : Selecting groups of special character types, usually the font's characters are displayed on the font name group and the characters used in text decoration are in 3 sections: Wingdings , Wingdings2 , Wingdings3 .

- Section Recently used symbols : Displays the most recently used characters.

Step 5: Choose a different type of character by clicking the arrow in Font -> select the name of the character group.

Step 6: In case you want to select some other special characters go to the Special Characters tab -> select the character -> Insert .
