Method 1 of 4:
Using a Mobile App
- Open an Office app. This can include applications such as OneNote, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, or Office. You can find any of these apps on your Home screens, in the app drawer, or by searching.
- Tap Sign in. When you open the app, you might be prompted to sign in. If not, you can find a link to sign in from the "Account" screen or "Recent" screen.
- Enter your Microsoft account information. This includes the email and password you use to sign into Microsoft.[1]
Method 2 of 4:
Using Office for Windows
- Open a document in an Office program. You can open any Office program including Word, Excel, or PowerPoint, and you can find these in your Start Menu.
- You can open a previously created document or start a new one.
- Click File. A menu will drop-down.
- Click Account or Office Account (if you're using Outlook). You'll see this near the bottom of the menu.
- Click Sign In. If you're already signed in, you'll see your account information here. If not, you'll see the button to sign in.
- Enter your Microsoft account information. This includes the email and password you use to sign into Microsoft.[2]
Method 3 of 4:
Using Office for Mac
- Open a document in an Office program. You can open any Office program including Word, Excel, or PowerPoint, and you can find these in your Start Menu.
- You can open a previously created document or start a new one.
- Click File. A menu will drop-down.
- Click New from Template.
- Click Sign In. You'll be prompted to sign in to save your template across platforms so you can access it from your iPhone later. You'll see the button to sign in under the circular default profile picture on the left side of your screen.
- Enter your Microsoft account information. This includes the email and password you use to sign into Microsoft.[3]
Method 4 of 4:
Using Office.com
- Go to https://www.office.com/. This is great to use if you aren't on your normal computer and don't have access to your installed programs and applications.
- Click Sign in. You'll see this button in the center of the page.
- If you're using a mobile browser, you may have to scroll down to see this.
- Enter your Microsoft account information. This includes the email and password you use to sign into Microsoft.[4]
