Rotate a Word page using page breaks.
Step 1:
First, to rotate any page in a Word document horizontally, we need to separate that page into its own section, distinct from the other pages in the document. This will prevent all pages in Word from rotating horizontally as well.
Let me give you an example: a Word file has 3 pages, and you want to rotate the second page to landscape mode.
Place your mouse cursor at the beginning of the text where you want to break the section, then select Page Layout > Break > Continue .
In this example, on page 2, I want to break the section and rotate it horizontally, so I will place the cursor at the top of the page and follow the instructions above.
Step 2:
To double-check that the page has a proper section break, click Insert > Header > Edit Header .
Pages 1 and 2 of the document have been created as two separate sections.
Step 3:
Continue by creating a section break at the beginning of the document, immediately after the page you want to rotate to landscape mode. This will place that page within a single section.
For example, we place the cursor at the beginning of the third page after the second page we want to rotate horizontally, then click Page Layout > Break > Continuous to break the section.
So, you have now completed the process of separating the page you want to rotate horizontally into a separate section.
Step 4:
Now , simply place your cursor anywhere on the page you want to rotate horizontally (in the section you want to select), then click on Page Layout > Orientation > Landscape to rotate the page horizontally.
When you click Print Preview , you'll see that the page has been rotated to landscape mode, which is completely different from the other pages in Word.
