Tools for removing SIM on iPhone or iPad
The device for removing the SIM card in the iPhone or iPad is the Apple SIM removal tool (available in the iPhone or iPad box in some countries, especially when buying non-locked devices) or a small bent paper clip.
If using a paper clip, straighten the long end until it opens (see image above). If using another tool such as a small screw head, make sure it fits snugly into the slot if you don't want to damage the device.
Find the location of the SIM tray on your iPhone or iPad
Almost every iPhone is equipped with a SIM card tray *, sim card slot on iPhone 4s or newer.
* Except for CDMA version of iPhone 4.
This is the location of the SIM card tray on some iPhone versions.
- Original iPhone, iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS: at the top of the iPhone between the headphone jack and the power button.
- Newer iPhone 4s and iPhones: On the right of the iPhone, on the opposite side of the volume button.
Only iPads with a new SIM card have a SIM tray. This is the location of the SIM card tray of some iPad versions:

How to remove the SIM card on the iPhone or iPad
Step 1: Gently insert the previously bent paper clip into the small opening in the SIM tray.
Step 2: Use a sufficient force to twist until the SIM tray appears on your iPhone or iPad. Do not use force at an angle, only in the direction of the pin hole.
Step 3: Get the SIM tray and pull it straight out.
Step 4: Replace SIM and reinstall the tray, make sure to insert the SIM and SIM tray in the right direction.
Note: Do not use force to force the SIM tray into place because it may damage the SIM lock or tray, making the iPhone or iPad unable to connect to any mobile network. Always make sure the SIM card is installed correctly and in the right direction.
I wish you all success!
