How to download all photos on Flickr

Flickr allows users to download all of what they have uploaded to this page by following these steps.

SmugMug, owner of Flickr, has announced plans to limit 1000 photos / videos to free accounts instead of storing 1TB on Flickr's server as before. They said that both current accounts and new accounts will apply this policy and will start deleting those who exceed the limit.

Free users are only allowed to store 1000 latest photos / videos, the older ones will be deleted. So from now until February 5, 2019, users should download the data to the machine before it all evaporates.

Flickr said that not many people are affected because only about 3% of free users are using their 1000 photo / video limit. If this is the case, you have several options: either upgrade to an unlimited Pro account, or delete yourself (or let Flickr delete in the old order first) and save all photos / videos. My computer.

Flickr allows users to download all of what they have uploaded to this page by following these steps.

  1. Visit the Flickr site , log in to your account.
  2. Select the avatar at the right corner, select Settings or go straight to the link https://flickr.com/account to go to the Account page .
  3. Select Request my Flickr data on the page to request a copy of the data. Flickr said this data will include information about Flickr accounts such as user profile information, photos and videos.
  4. Flickr will notify via email when completed.

One limitation of exporting Flickr data is that you have to get it all, there is no option to upload photos or upload photos that have been posted for a certain period of time .

A second way is to allow Flickr to upload photos / videos by album, limited to 5000, requiring users to create multiple albums to share photos and videos.

  1. Select You > Albums to display by album.
  2. Hover over the album and select the download icon or open the album and select the download icon.
  3. Flickr shows a message saying it will compress the files and send you a download link via email. Select Create zip file to create.

If you want to download all, you will have to repeat the same steps for each album. Downloading in any way will take a bit of waiting time. But if you're using Flickr, it probably isn't worth it to lose what you posted here.
