The machine model was rebuilt by scientists

Alexander Jones, professor of history of ancient science at New York University stressed that this machine is like a textbook teaching about the universe of the ancient Greeks.

When X-rays were taken, the researchers discovered tiny letters (about 1mm tall) carved inside wooden and hinged covers.

They rebuilt this machine through X-ray photos. Accordingly, it has a two-sided structure, one face has two needles to adjust the date and month in the calendar year of the ancient Greeks. Scientists believe that this astronomical machine was used by ancient Greeks to predict the weather of the year to serve agricultural activities.

The pieces of the machine are displayed at the museum

According to scientists, there are still about 20 remaining Antikythera machines still in the sea. They hoped to find the remnants of Antikythera soon and restore it completely.
