Disable search suggestions on Chrome and Safari browsers

Every time you type a search term into the address bar of Chrome or Safari, the browser will display suggestions for related search terms. With many users, this is a useful feature when they can expand their search. However, for many other users, it is uncomfortable about this because the information they seek is not central.

1. Disable suggestions for finding Chrome browser on the computer

1. Open the Chrome browser on your computer, then click on the 3 dash line icon in the top right corner of the screen and select Settings.

2. On the Settings interface, scroll down to find and select the option Show advanced settings . (show advanced settings ).

3. Under the Privacy section, you will see the option Use a prediction service to help complete searches and URLs typed in the bar address or the search bo app launcher . Your task is to leave this option unchecked.

From now on when you type in a search for certain words in the address bar, Chrome browser will no longer display search suggestions.

2. Disable suggestions for finding Chrome browser on the phone

To disable suggestions on finding mobile Chrome browsers, follow the steps below:

1. Open the Chrome browser on your mobile phone.

2. Click on the 3 dots icon in the top right corner and select Settings .

3. On the Settings interface, you will see the Privacy option, your task is to click on that option.

4. On the next interface, disable the Show Suggestion option to disable search suggestions.

3. Disable Safari search suggestions on the computer

1. Open the Safari browser on your computer.

2. Click the Safari Menu in the top left corner and then select Preferences .

3. On the Preferences interface, click the Search tab.

4. Remove the Include search engine suggestions option to disable search suggestions on Safari browser.

4. Disable the Safari search suggestions on the phone

1. Click the Settings app to open the Settings Menu.

2. Scroll down to find and select Safari to open Safari settings.

3. Disable the Search Engine Suggestions option by turning the slider to OFF .
