The study, published in the July 27 issue of the journal Science, found that six types of antibodies can neutralize, prevent spread and can be used to consider Zika diagnostic test in laboratory mice.

Member of the research team - Professor Daved Fremont, Immunologist and Disease Specialist, said: Some antibodies have been found to neutralize Zika virus strains in Africa, Asia and the Americas.

On the same day, Florida officials announced two new cases of Zika virus infection that showed no signs of foreign infection. So far, the US has 381 cases of Zika, but all cases are returned from epidemic areas. If these new infections are confirmed, this means that Aedes mosquitoes carry Zika virus in the United States.
