Anymal, a robot mentioned a few years ago at ETH Zurich, will soon be commercially available and no longer needs human support when riding the elevator.

Unlike the impressive and famous "Big Dog" from Boston Dynamics, Anymal is a smaller, versatile robot designed specifically for commercial and industrial applications. It is being advertised to work well for use in hazardous locations such as oil or gas wells, mines as well as perform functions as a basic security monitoring device.

Anymal is not the smallest robot we know.

Weighing about 30 kg (66 lb) and can carry about 10 kg (22 lb), Anymal can move at the same speed as humans are walking fast and can operate for about two to four hours with a single charge, depending on its operation.

It is a handy compact robot, packed with many sensors that allow it to automatically navigate through different industrial zones.

There is currently no official official price announced.

The latest video shows Anymal demonstrating its talent by taking the elevator as people.
