10 apps phishing iPhone users to remove immediately from their phones

Forbes cites a report by Apps Exposed, an organization of technology experts who are "fighting for fairness of apps", as saying it has discovered a network of malicious applications targeted at iPhone users.

This network of apps was created by Turkish startup Scorp, with content offering 'cool' video chats, the report said.

According to Apps Exposed, people who download these apps to search for chat or video dating will receive a call-in notification from the app.

When a user starts to chat, the pre-made videos will start being played by the application on the screen to trick the user into thinking they are talking to a beautiful girl on the other side of the line.

These apps will ask users to spend extra money for longer chats. Or will request "gift" from the user to give it to the other party, in order to prolong the conversation by recharging the application.

'They're really good at making fake notifications to get users to buy more subscriptions or coins,' says Apps Exposed: 'It's really amazing that these scammers have two of their apps. on the US App Store Top Charts and Apple Support doesn't do anything to stop it . Every time you open one of the apps on this network, you'll be right away. Instant receiving calls. It's not a real person but a bot and if you accept the call, you get caught up in the 'matrix' of scammers outlined. "

Forbes reporter John Koetsier said he tried the apps, the girls he talked to were revealing, and the app kept sending notifications inviting him to spend money to prolong the conversation.

Some comments on the App Store shared that 'these girls will keep suggesting you to call privately to see nude photos or videos' and of course, these comments all come from fake accounts.

The rest of the comments were mostly five-star ratings too, accompanied by a word comment like 'good' or even nonsense like 'hbjh' or 'bjek'.

Apple is currently reviewing and deleting apps that violate the App Store policies. However, those who have previously downloaded these apps need to immediately remove them from their phone.
