Miracast is a useful technology for anyone who wants to share content on one screen to another or on a projector, such as presentations, videos, apps, and photos. In other words, it wirelessly mirrors what's on one device's screen onto another so it can be viewed and accessed.
Miracast aka wireless HDMI, you don't need to use an HDMI cord to connect your phone to the TV.
Miracast is suitable for home WiFi environments where the number of users is small and the devices involved are simple. Therefore, it is possible to ensure that the connection between two devices using Miracast is smooth and uninterrupted.
2. The principle of operation of Miracast
Miracast works on the WiFi Direct standard, thereby establishing a direct connection between the device and the screen (peer-to-peer), essentially creating its own WiFi network. The device that will host or stream content (e.g. tablet) communicates directly with the Miracast receiver (e.g. ScreenBeam). Miracast will connect wirelessly and mirror everything from one screen to another.
To connect Miracast, the connected devices do not require the same company, just need to have Miracast certification, for example, you can connect a Samsung phone to a Sony TV, or a Dell laptop to a Panasonic projector,.
