The Galaxy Note 20, Galaxy Fold 2 and a mysterious Samsung device are revealed in the kernel kernel source code

It is worth noting that this kernel kernel source code does not refer to Samsung's Exynos chipset but only to Qualcomm's Snapdragon 865 processor.

Shortly after the launch of the Galaxy S20 series, Samsung also released the kernel source code of all three flagship smartphones. In addition to helping third-party developers create new tools for Samsung's new flagships, digging deep into the kernel kernel code also helps XDA-Developers forum members uncover products. coming soon to the company.

These include the Galaxy Note 20, Galaxy Fold 2 and a mysterious device called the Zodiac.

In fact, the names of these devices are not mentioned in this kernel. Instead they are referred to under codenames, including Project XYZ - the codenames of three Galaxy S20 series devices), Project Canvas - codenames of the Galaxy Note 20, and Project Winner 2 - the codenames supposedly of Galaxy Fold 2.

No clue what the Exynos chipset does

According to the code in the kernel, it is not surprising that both Project Canvas and Project Winner 2 are equipped with Snapdragon 865 chipset. . But this does not mean that there will be no Exynos chipset for these two devices, at least for the Galaxy Note 20 series.

Even when shareholders were skeptical of Samsung's decision to continue using the Exynos chipsets they developed, the company representative responded that they would continue to support their System SLI division by using Qualcomm chipsets in some markets, and use Exynos in other markets.

Also interesting is that the kernel also refers to another mysterious device, code-named Zodiac. It is powered by the 2019 Snapdragon 855 processor and seems to be exclusively for the Chinese market. However, no other details have been discovered about this mysterious device.

Perhaps there will be about half a year until the next Unpacked event, where Samsung introduced the Galaxy Note 20 and likely the Galaxy Fold 2 - if not affected by the corona virus pandemic. Until then, there will certainly be more information to be revealed about new Samsung devices.
