From now until November 1, all citizens of the globe will have the opportunity to send their names to Mars on the InSight space ship of the US Space and Aeronautics Agency (NASA), departing in May 2016 . This is an opportunity for every citizen to become a part of the mission ship that explores the red planet.

  1. How the Sun will look when viewed from other planets
  2. How long does one day on the solar system planets last?
  3. How does Elon Musk send people to Mars?

The InSight mission with the mission to explore the red planet will be launched into space in May 2018 and landed on the Martian surface on November 26, 2018, carrying two silicon chips containing the names of the citizens globe.

You can register and send information to NASA before November 1 with just a very simple fill-in step here.

When you're done, you can download or share a ticket to print your name on Facebook.

This is not the first time NASA has offered this invitation to Earth citizens. In 2015, NASA made a similar invitation and had nearly 827,000 subscribers. In December 2014, when the Orion spacecraft was launched for the first time, there were 1.38 million people registered.

Initially, InSight only brought one chip, but then NASA decided to add a second chip to give people more opportunities.

In addition, participants will earn points "regular passengers", and be recognized by NASA for their participation in their mission missions.
