Microsoft Translator can translate offline with AI on almost any device
Previously, Microsoft Translator used artificial intelligence (AI) to switch languages when there was a network connection, the way many translation applications still use. This is quite inconvenient for users. And to be able to serve the best users, Microsoft recently updated the Translator app for Android and iOS, bringing offline translation capabilities.
With this new update, even without a network connection, users can still use the AI translation tool.
This feature was previously supported by Microsoft on Android devices with AI chips. And to help it work on most current processor chips, Microsoft had to optimize the algorithm.
Users can select different translation modes on Microsoft Translator:
- Translation mode of dialogue in real time (not yet supported in Vietnamese).
- Translation mode with images (not yet supported in Vietnamese).
- Normal text translation mode (in Vietnamese).
