Microsoft Excel is about to take a photo feature to import data
Users only need to use smartphones to take photos of paper data tables, not to re-type, the software will turn them into a digital version.
In the near future, Microsoft will integrate more for Excel on Android a very interesting new feature. Accordingly, users only need to use smartphones to take photos of paper data sheets, not re-type, the software will turn them into a digital version. With the number table available, users can still edit or use it as a template to enter other data.
Text scanning with camera on this smartphone will be updated by Microsoft on Office 365 Insiders system in the coming time.
Previously, in 2014, Microsoft also introduced Office Lens software for Windows Phone, Android and iOS to allow users to take text, receipts or business cards to export to image files or Word.
