Starting with Notepad version 11.2504.50.0 and later for Windows Insiders in Canary and Dev on Windows 11, Microsoft is rolling out basic formatting for text in Notepad, providing more options for you to change the text. However, the text formatting in Notepad is hidden so you need to enable it, following the instructions in the article below.
How to format text in Notepad Windows 11
Step 1:
Users click on the gear icon in the top right corner of the interface to access the settings interface for Notepad.
Step 2:
Next, we click on Formatting and then activate On mode to enable formatting for Notepad on Windows 11 computer.
Step 3:
Back to the Notepad interface, we will see the text formatting customization toolbar as shown below.
If Notepad on your computer does not have this text formatting feature, you can enable it with the ViVeTool command: vivetool /enable /id:41073112.
