Google Maps lets you completely customize your daily navigation experience on the app, from vehicle icons to voice navigation. You can also change how the map is displayed and several other parts of navigation, including map colors and building views. Here's how to customize how Google Maps displays.

 

How to change the display style of Google Maps

Step 1:

Open the Google Maps app and tap your profile picture in the top right corner. On the new screen, tap Settings to adjust the app's settings.

 

Step 2:

Switch to the Google Maps app settings interface, scroll down to the "How to display the map" section , and change the color mode and distance unit settings, which are currently set to automatic in the Google Maps app.

Step 3:

With Google Maps' map color mode , you can choose Day or Night mode according to your preference, without being limited by the system's color settings.

 

The distance unit you choose to display on Google Maps is either kilometers or miles.
