How to center a table in Google Docs
When creating tables in Google Docs, aligning the table and the documents within it is essential to obtain a properly formatted document.
Centering a table in Google Docs is essentially as simple as centering cells in Word or PowerPoint . You can choose to adjust the table manually or use the alignment tools. This article will guide you on how to center a table in Google Docs.
Center a Google Docs table using the Options tool.
Step 1:
First, click on any cell in the Google Docs table. Next, select Format and then click on Table below the list.
Step 2:
Next, the user clicks on the Table Properties option to adjust the table.
Step 3:
At this point, options for the table will appear on the right side of the screen. Here, the user clicks on the "Align" option and then clicks on "Center ". The table will then be centered in the document.
Manually centering a table in Google Docs
With this manual method, we will center the table right from the table creation process in Docs.
Step 1:
First, we'll create a table with 1 row and 3 cells . Click on Insert, then select Table and choose the quantity as 3x1.
Step 2:
Click in the center cell of the table you just created, then click Insert , select Table , and choose the number of cells and columns needed to create a complete table .
Step 3:
The table will then be inserted in the middle of the cell as shown below. You will drag the left and right columns of the old table to either side .
As a result, we get a table with two columns on the left and right, as shown in the image.
Step 4:
To hide the first table , we will click on the cell of the first table . Then the user clicks on Format, then selects Table , and then selects Table Properties .
Step 5:
Looking at the content next to it, click on the "Material" item . Then, in the "Table Border" section , the user changes the color from black to white .
The first table will immediately disappear, and only the second, centered table will be displayed.
