How to set a GIF image as your Telegram avatar

Besides choosing static images as your Telegram avatar, users can also choose GIFs as their profile picture to make their account more interesting. Users can choose any GIF they like to use as their Telegram avatar. When a GIF is used as your Telegram profile picture, your friends will see it, or only those allowed to see your profile picture will be able to see it if you have enabled the profile picture hiding feature . Step 1:

On the Telegram app interface, users tap on the Settings option in the bottom right corner of the screen. To access your Telegram account settings, tap on Change Profile Photo .

 

Step 2:

This displays options for changing your Telegram profile picture. Tap " Open Gallery" to open your photo album on your phone. Once the photo album interface appears, tap on the GIF image to select it as your account profile picture.

 

Please note that the Telegram app supports GIF avatar images with a maximum size of 10MB and a size not exceeding 800x800 pixels.

Step 3:

A screen will then appear allowing you to adjust the GIF image you want to use as your Telegram profile picture. Tap the icons at the bottom of the screen to edit it as desired. Finally, tap the checkmark icon to save your new Telegram profile picture.

 

Step 4:

The resulting GIF image has been used as the profile picture for your Telegram account. Everyone on your friend list will see this Telegram GIF avatar.
