How to send extremely secure email encryption on Android
Encryption is a pretty secure way to protect data on your phone and computer, avoid being read and stolen by hackers and sensitive and important information you send. However, did you know that you can email others by encrypting the message content? Today, I will introduce you to a useful application that helps encrypt email on Android devices.
CryptMax application
CryptMax is a lightweight application and makes the whole encryption process much simpler. What makes me appealing is that it doesn't force users to use its own email application, because it's basically a notepad that encrypts the content you enter. Then, copy and paste the content into your favorite email application or any other written communication application.
Download CryptMax from the Play Store store, then open it, the application will display a black screen for you to enter the message.
Have you noticed the AES-128 character on the top right of the screen? That is the encryption method you are using. When you touch this character, you can convert the encryption method to AES-192 or AES-256 (they are considered safer than AES-128). However, in fact, a message encoded by the AES-128 method is almost impossible to be hacked by hackers. Some tests also show that the AES-256 is more vulnerable to attacks. Overall, I found that using AES-128 encryption method is quite good.
Send and receive encrypted messages
When you enter a message in CryptMax, the application prompts you to enter the password for that message. The recipient will need this password and the CryptMax application to be able to read the message. You should set a password that is safe enough for others to be unable to penetrate.
Once you have created the password, click Encrypt at the bottom of the screen on the left. This will turn the text into encrypted code. Next, click Copy and go to the email application you want to send the message to, click the mailbox content then click Paste. Encrypted text will appear and be ready to be sent.
Remember that email recipients must copy and paste the text into the CryptMax application and use your password to read the content. Although somewhat complicated, this method is useful in securing messages.
