Create a collage using Instagram's Layout app.
The Photo Grid shortcut works best if all your photos are the same size and the objects are centered. Otherwise, the shortcut may crop out important parts of the photo.
If you want to reposition each photo yourself, one of the top photo collage apps to try is Layout from Instagram. All the templates on the app follow a 1:1 square aspect ratio, making it extremely convenient when you want to create photo collages for Instagram posts.
After installing the Layout app from the App Store, simply open the app, select the photos you want to include in your collage, and choose your preferred collage layout.
To reposition an image, tap to select it within the collage, then drag it into the Layout. You can also mirror, flip, and resize each box. Once you're happy with the result, tap Save > Done and go to the Photos app to find your newly created collage!
- Download Layout (Free)
There are many other third-party apps like Layout that you can use to create collages on your iPhone. For example, Clay offers collage templates for both posts and Instagram Stories. Their templates also include animation options! You can even use Google Photos to create collages on your iPhone.
Another great app is Canva, which offers a wide variety of templates and the most customization options. You can apply filters, edit individual photos, and add other elements such as text, stickers, graphics, etc. Most of these features are also free.
So, whether you want to create a scrapbook page for a recent trip or just gather snapshots of everyday moments with your loved ones, it's easy to pull photos from your library and create a collage directly on your iPhone.
Good luck with your project!
