With the latest Windows 10 update (May 2020 Update), Microsoft has improved Segment Heap memory management. Now, this feature can be applied to the Win32 application, of which Chrome browser is one of them.

Google is testing the Segment Heap feature of Windows 10 to help Chrome reduce RAM usage.

Google is also quite interested in this feature, and has plans to update Chrome browser with improvements similar to Edge. A Google engineer said that the Chrome browser could be added to the Segment Heap manifest file, thereby reducing the amount of RAM used.
