Google releases Android 12

Along with the arrival of the Pixel 6 series, Google also officially released Android 12 - one of the biggest upgrades to its mobile operating system in the past few years.

Like every year, Pixel devices will be prioritized to receive the first upgrade, specifically this year Pixel 3 members and above. Android 12 focuses on three key areas: personal experience, privacy, and ease of use.

The entire Android 12 experience will change to match whatever wallpaper the user chooses, including the lock screen, notifications, settings, widgets, and even within apps to make the Android experience even better. become more coherent.

To make Android 12 more personal for people with disabilities, Google added new accessibility settings like Window Magnifier that allow users to zoom in on part of the screen while preserving the rest of the screen's context. The next big change to Android 12 is privacy improvements. Users can now tell when an app is using the microphone or camera with a new indicator in the status bar. Other options included in Android like allowing for a quick privacy check through the privacy dashboard and unused apps will need to be re-approved by the user.

To make things easier, Android 12 allows users to take scrolling screenshots to get the whole thing in one shot, or play games while downloading, Wi-Fi logins can be shared via the Nearby Share feature or transfer data more easily when moving from iPhone to Android via Wi-Fi or cable connection.

After Google's Pixel devices receive the Android 12 update, users of Galaxy, OnePlus, Oppo, Realme, Tecno, Vivo and Xiaomi devices will start receiving the new operating system later this year.
