Fixing the icon Bookmark error on Chrome browser is 'missing'

To fix the icon of the Bookmark error on Chrome browser is lost, follow the steps below:
1. Close Chrome browser.
2. Next navigate to the Chrome profile folder and copy the bookmarks file to another location to back up the bookmark.
To do this, you do:
- First press Windows + R key combination to open the Run command window.
- On the Run command window, enter the following command and press Enter:
+ With Windows 7.8 and Vista :
% LOCALAPPDATA% GoogleChromeUser Datadefault
+ With Windows XP :
% USERPROFILE% Local SettingsApplication DataGoogleChromeUser Datadefault
Now a new window appears on the screen, where you copy the bookmarks file to another location (such as on the desktop).

3. Next, delete (or rename) the current Chrome profile folder. To do this thing:
- Press the Windows + R key combination to open the Run command window.
- On the Run command window, enter the following command and press Enter:
+ With Windows 7.8 and Vista :
% LOCALAPPDATA% GoogleChrome
+ With Windows XP :
% USERPROFILE% Local SettingsApplication DataGoogleChrome
- Delete or rename the User Data folder.

4. Open the Chrome browser, now a profile will be created and the Bookmark icon will be displayed on the Chrome browser window.
5. Close Chrome browser.
6. Next navigate to the Chrome profile folder and paste the bookmarks file that you copied in step 2 into the Default folder.
To do this, you do:
- First press Windows + R key combination to open the Run command window.
- On the Run command window, enter the following command and press Enter:
+ With Windows 7.8 and Vista :
% LOCALAPPDATA% GoogleChromeUser Datadefault
+ With Windows XP :
% USERPROFILE% Local SettingsApplication DataGoogleChromeUser Datadefault
7. Finally open Chrome browser and use normally.
