In recent years, Apple has consistently ranked second in the Forrester research firm's annual customer satisfaction survey in consumer electronics technology. However, by 2014 Apple had been pushed down by the stunned opponents.
Forrester 's survey measures satisfaction with consumer electronics brands by asking customers three questions: 1) How much is their interest in buying? 2) How easy is their purchase? 3) How effective are they in meeting your needs? There are about 7,500 consumers participating in the survey and their answers in the form of scores will conclude a firm's overall score.
The Wall Street Journal reported that Amazon has topped this survey for three years since 2012. In 2014, Amazon reached 91 points, up sharply from 85 points in 2013. However, even if Amazon does not gain any points, the company will still stand first this year.
The score was 83 enough for Sony to take the 2nd place, while Microsoft and Samsung came in third place with 82 points. Apple is in the top 5 with 81 points. Thus, if Apple previously won the second place in 2012 and 2013, this year, it was surpassed by three successive firms, Samsung, Microsoft and Sony.
According to Forrester, scores from 76 to 85 are " good " and only Amazon is rated " excellent " with 91 points.
