Buying a printer is not expensive, but using it is not cheap! Manufacturers may think that their ink and certain special papers deserve to be measured in gold, but that doesn't mean we can't use printers in a cheaper way. With some of the following tips, you can do that.
Print preview: When printing pages from the website, use the Print Preview function of your browser to make sure you print the content you need. If the website has a page printing option, Print Preview will allow you to adjust to make sure that the content on the right side is not garbled (some Web pages are too large to be cut to the right when printing). If necessary, adjust the page style from vertical (Portrait) to horizontal (Landscape) to cover the content that will print out on the web page.
In Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera, open the web page you want to print and click File > Print Preview . The new screen that displays the content of the print format will appear. Do not print only one page at a time. Notice how to adjust the formatting for the pages, then click the Print button at the top of the Preview window (or press Ctrl + P ). Then, in the Print dialog box, enter the starting and ending page numbers in the Range box. Note that Pages button will be selected automatically after you enter the page number. (See Figure 1).
Some methods help save printing costs Picture 1 Some printer manufacturers such as Canon often offer free utilities bundled with printers or build support programs, posted on their websites, allowing users to download for free. These programs and utilities help make web printing faster. If you want these programs, check the manufacturer's website or visit Canon's Easy-WebPrint utility website.
To minimize ink usage, press the Properties button and select the Draft model below Print Quality (note that each printer has a different writing style; you may have to take a moment to click around in the Printer dialog box). New properties find the appropriate button. If the color is not printed, check the Grayscale Printing button. Finally, click OK .
Print in text only : Instead of printing the entire web page or the original document (both images and colors), you should only select the necessary text, print it as text. Go to File > Print , select Selection under Page Range, select the appropriate print text (press Ctrl + C ), open WordPad (go to Start > All Programs > Accessories > WordPad ) or a word processor or program edit other text documents (like Notepad) and paste the selected content ( Edit > Paste Special > Unformatted Text ). You will often have to reformat the text text before printing, but this saves ink and print paper.
Never use a common power switch : Do you turn on / off the printer continuously from a common source? What a bad idea. When the printer is turned off, the needle tips may become dry or congested. Do not disconnect the printer from the power source for too long and use a separate power switch to turn it off when needed.
Do not leave the ink cartridge dry : The cartridges in the printer are often very dry when not in use. And there is usually no way to make the page clear when the cartridge is dry, the ink becomes irregular, and even clogs the printhead. You should print at least once, just one page at a time to keep the cartridge smooth.
Know when to use non-standard products : Nameless cartridges are usually a few dollars cheaper than genuine manufacturer products. You can save an amount of money at their low prices, but it is likely that there will be trouble with uneven print quality. If you print only text documents, non-standard products are a good choice. But when printing photos, colors and lines will not be as clear as genuine products. And non-standard products cannot be combined with manufacturer's inks to produce high quality and durable prints.
The reserves will save you quite a bit of cost . But they are also very messy. Print quality dare not guarantee. The reserve cartridge contains less ink than the genuine new type of manufacturer. And of course you will print less in large document printing.
Spend some time to save a lot of printing costs . If you're like me, owning a printer while your pocket money is not good, you'll probably spend a little time wandering around some corners of the Internet to find a way to reduce paper costs. and ink when printing. The best helper I've found recently is FinePrint, a sharing utility that lets you print 2, 4, or 8 pages on the same single sheet. The package also has a number of options for printing color text in black and white and ignoring graphic objects. If you use the trial version, you will see a watermark on each page. Paying $ 50 for the official version, you will no longer see those blurs.
