Step 1:
First of all, you need to log in to your personal Hotmail account.
Step 2:
At the interface of the Hotmail mailbox, click on the avatar icon above the screen. Then select View account .
Step 3:
We will be transferred to the new tab. At the new interface, select Change password.
Step 4:
Microsoft will ask users to enter their Hotmail account email address to receive the security code . Enter the email address in the box below and click Submit code . Or if you already have a security code in advance, just click the I have a security code to enter the code.
Soon, Microsoft will send a confirmation code to the email account you just entered. We just need to get that code and enter it in the required box. Click Submit (Send).
Step 5:
The password change interface appears. Here you will see your Microsoft account name and items to fill.
- Current password: Enter the password you are using.
- New password (New password): enter a new password. Note, the new password is at least 8 characters long. You should place a password containing numbers and letters to increase security.
- Re-enter the password (Reenter password): enter the new password correctly.
Below, you have the option to check the Change my password box every 72 days (Make me change my password every 72 days). When checking this box, the system will notify you to change the password after the 72 days have passed, counting from the date of the new password.
After you have filled in the information, click Save (Save) to proceed to set up a new password.
Step 6:
After that, a new bulletin board will appear with information that has saved the new password and the new password change date.
