Rebel Audio: An all-in-one AI podcast creation tool for beginners.

You've probably had that moment when you were sitting and chatting with friends, the conversation flowing smoothly, both fun and insightful, and then someone blurted out: "How about we start a podcast?"

The idea is good, but for the most part… it just stops there. Not because podcasts aren't appealing, but because the process is quite cumbersome: from recording, editing, creating content to publishing. The barrier to entry is actually much higher than many people realize.

That's the gap that a new app called Rebel Audio aims to fill.

An 'all-in-one' platform for podcasters.

Rebel Audio is built as an all-in-one podcast platform, aimed at beginners or early-stage creators. Instead of using multiple different software programs, users can complete the entire process within a single platform.

From show creation, recording, editing, cover art design, transcript creation, social media clip editing, to publishing — everything is built-in.

The platform launched a private beta with a waiting list and quickly raised $3.8 million in a seed funding round, demonstrating that investors are betting on simplifying the podcasting process.

Rebel Audio is expected to officially launch on May 30th. The timing of this launch is considered opportune given the strong growth of the podcast market, which is projected to reach $114.5 billion by 2030.

According to data from Riverside, there were over 584 million podcast listeners globally in 2025, and this number could increase to 619 million by 2026. Despite major competitors like Spotify (with its Spotify for Creators platform), Rebel Audio argues that current solutions still don't truly deliver a '360-degree' experience for creators.

Besides Spotify, other familiar tools like Adobe Audition or Descript still require users to combine multiple steps and individual tools.

One notable point is that Rebel Audio doesn't view monetization as a 'later' step, but integrates it from the start. Users can access various forms of monetization such as advertising, brand partnerships, dynamic ad insertion, and listener subscriptions — all within the platform's ecosystem.

AI is the 'heart' of the experience.

Unsurprisingly, Rebel Audio places AI at its core. The platform integrates an AI assistant that can help with everything from suggesting podcast titles, writing descriptions, and recommending content, to creating cover art based on ideas. It also includes features like speech-to-text, translation, voiceovers, and even voice cloning for commercials.

However, such deep application of AI also comes with controversy. Issues related to copyright, training data, and originality are still making many creators hesitant. Some platforms like Spotify and Deezer have also had to deal with waves of low-quality AI content, often referred to as 'AI slop'.

To address these concerns, Rebel Audio says it has integrated control mechanisms. Voice cloning requires user authorization, and the system also has measures to prevent deepfake content. The AI-powered image creation tool is also vetted to avoid violating the standards of distribution platforms.

Rebel Audio is being developed in partnership with AI consulting firm Lattice Partners. Founder Jared Gutstadt previously built the production company Audio Up, and plans to bring all of Audio Up's content to the new platform. This list includes projects featuring well-known names such as Machine Gun Kelly, Anthony Anderson, and Dennis Quaid.

In addition, the team includes many personnel who have previously worked at major studios such as MGM and DreamWorks, along with the guidance of Mark Burnett — the producer behind hit shows like Survivor and The Voice .

Rebel Audio offers various service packages, starting at $15/month for the basic plan which includes AI, storage, and distribution features. Higher-tier plans add video podcasts, voice cloning, and advanced features such as dynamic ad insertion, translation, and voiceovers.
