iPhone will be easier to use with changes in iOS 11
It will be a bit like Android believers a bit when you want iOS to have customized Control Center easily. The Control Center is just an icon that allows access to commonly used settings, opening by swiping the bottom-up screen is much more convenient than having to find a few times. This is what every operating system should have to bring convenience to users.
Apple offers a better interface and easier-to-use functions with iOS 10 but there are still many complicated things. A control panel turns into three: one for quick setup options for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, one for music playback options and one for controlling HomeKit smart home devices as well. Apple also added 3D Touch functionality for some quick steps. For example, when holding the camera icon, you can choose to open the application to take a photo with selfie mode, video or slow-motion.
Although not always applicable, the above things are useful enough. However, the decision to put adjustment options on another window will slow down the process and redesigning some icons takes more space than necessary. This is the biggest problem of the Control Center: users lack control.
The functions that users can access are limited to Apple's choice, some of which can be expanded. Below is a list of these customizations.
- Airplane Mode: Users usually choose this feature only when flying. Battery saving mode is often used more.
- Wi-Fi: This is an essential option.
- Bluetooth: Same as above. Apple focuses on wireless headsets also reinforces this function.
- Do Not Disturb: Useful in some cases.
- Orientation Lock: Pretty annoying when watching videos.
- Flashlight: Useful.
- Timer: Shortcuts to change the alarm time will be more reasonable.
- Night Shift: Also useful but not necessarily quick access.
- Calculator: Not many people have to calculate in an emergency so it's not necessarily necessary.
- Camera: No comment, very useful.
- Brightness Slider: Auto lighting is also quite redundant, so this choice is fine. The problem is that when you swipe to light up, it usually shows the media control panel.
- AirDrop: Not the best option if you use Windows laptop or Android tablet.
- AirPlay: More people like Amazon or Android.
- Choice of music playback control : Very useful, no one wants to go in and out of Spotify every few minutes.
- Home Controls: Useful if you use smart home devices.
The problem here is that each person has their own needs. Some people like to turn off 3G when they don't need it, others use iMessage often, likewise with location data options, battery saving mode . When using, everyone wants to quickly access the Quick settings that I often use instead of finding multiple steps. If you can add a shortcut to access a third-party application, it's even better, though this may open up a design issue (Apple may need a custom icon) and security (accessible Personal data from the lock screen).
There are many things that Apple can change to make the next generation iOS more complete, such as supporting more users, better Siri, choose non-Apple applications as the default application, night mode. .
