iOS 14.6 causes heat again and drains the battery, follow the instructions below if you encounter it

Apple officially launched iOS 14.6 yesterday, May 25. It seems to have become the norm, this time has also started to have users complaining about the device being hot and draining the battery.

One user on Twitter said that iOS 14.6 caused significant battery drain, the phone was very hot. This is very noticeable when listening to podcasts. Notably, this man said he used iPhone 11 Pro Max, 256 GB.

Rapid battery drain can lead to reduced battery life, especially if your iPhone gets very hot. However, it is possible that the problem will only be temporary. When upgrading iOS, the background activities of the device may encounter a little conflict because the old configuration files are transferred to the new configuration.

But in case the battery drain problem persists and the device is constantly hot, it is a sign of a software error. If your battery problems don't go away after 24 hours or more, you can do the following

Force stop some of the most battery-hungry apps:

1. Step 1: Go to settings > select Battery;
2. Step 2: Scroll down and see which apps use the most battery;
3. Step 3: Force stop some of the most battery-hungry apps

In case that still doesn't solve the problem, you can turn on 'Low Power mode' which can be helpful as it temporarily disables a wide range of background tasks that can drain the battery. With this case, it is likely that Apple will release a new patch update.
