Instructions on sending files via Messenger on your phone and computer.

Besides sending photos on Messenger, users can now send files to others through the app, in all document file formats such as PDF, DOC, XLX, etc. We will use the file sending option directly on Messenger without needing any other supporting applications or utilities. The article below will guide you on how to send files on Messenger.

 

How to send files on Messenger Android

Step 1:

On the Messenger app interface, tap the chat where you want to send the file. Then, tap the circular icon in the bottom left corner. You will then see the File option to send a file on Messenger. Tap this option to send the file on Messenger Android.

 

Step 2:

This displays the file management interface on your phone. Here, you can tap the three horizontal lines icon in the upper left corner to expand the file search options on your phone.

Then, we find the file we want to send on Messenger and press send as usual.

Step 3:

When the recipient receives the file sent via Messenger, they can use Chrome to download the file or open it using the file-opening app installed on their phone.

Step 1:

On the Messenger desktop interface, click the Attach file icon as shown below.

Step 2:

At this point, the interface will appear on your computer so you can find the file you want to send on Messenger. Click on the file you want to send on Messenger, then click Open to upload the file to Messenger . After that, enter the message you want to send and press Enter to send it.

If you want to download more files, click the file icon to download additional files.

The resulting file has been sent via Messenger, as shown in the image below.

The recipient of the file simply needs to click on it to download or open it on their device.

How to send files via Messenger on iPhone

Step 1:

For Messenger on iOS, you need to use the built-in Files app. Open the Files app on your iOS device and select the file you want to share. In the document interface, tap the share icon in the bottom left corner.

 

Alternatively, we can press and hold the file we want to send to display the menu, then tap the Share option at the bottom.

Step 2:

Immediately afterwards, you will see several options for sharing documents, or any files. Users then select the Messenger app .

This displays the Messenger accounts you frequently message, or you can enter the Messenger account name in the box. Finally, select the account name to send the file and click the Send button .

Step 3:

The final result is that the file has been sent via Messenger, as shown in the image below.
