How to enable the avatar shield to protect your Facebook profile.
The Facebook profile picture protection feature will enable a Facebook avatar shield, preventing others from viewing your profile picture and from copying or downloading your Facebook profile picture.
In the article "Protecting Your Facebook Profile Picture - Have You Tried It?" , Network Administration introduced readers to the Profile Picture Guard feature, which protects Facebook profile pictures and is currently being rolled out in India. This feature will prevent unauthorized copying and downloading of Facebook avatar images.
When this feature is activated, your Facebook profile picture will be protected and a shield icon will appear in the frame. Although the Profile Picture Guard feature on Facebook is not yet available in Vietnam, you can still protect your Facebook avatar by following the instructions below.
1. Enable Facebook avatar shield using J2TeaM Security
Step 1:
To get Facebook profile picture protection, we will install the J2TeaM Security extension for Chrome browser using the link below. This extension will help the browser avoid phishing attacks and malware, and is created by a Vietnamese development team.

Step 2:
Once installed, you will see the extension's "J" icon in your browser's address bar. Right-click on the icon and then click on " Tools" to display the extension's features. In the list, select "Protect Facebook Profile Picture ".
Step 3:
Immediately afterwards, users will be redirected to a new interface page. Here, you will see your profile picture after it has been secured, along with a shield icon in the frame. Click " Turn On Profile Picture Guard" to activate this feature.
Please wait for the feature to be applied to your personal Facebook account.
After that, reload your Facebook account and you will see your profile picture protected by a blue frame, as shown below. This means that others accessing your Facebook account will not be able to click on your profile picture as usual.
Step 4:
If you no longer want to use this security feature, simply access the Facebook Profile Picture Guard tool again and click Turn Off Profile Picture Guard .
Although Facebook's profile picture protection feature is not yet available in Vietnam, users can use the J2TeaM Security extension on Chrome to secure their Facebook avatars. The images will no longer be clickable, copyable, or even downloadable as before.
