In a few weeks Gmail will change to new clothes, will it get new users?

Google is planning to launch a new design for its web-based Gmail application interface. In an email to managers of the G Suite, the company said there will be several new features for regular Gmail accounts. Google promises that Gmail on the web will be new and more neat with features like Smart Reply, email delays (snooze) and offline support.

Google did not disclose exactly how the new Gmail specific design, but recently they have just launched a new interface for Google Calendar. Accordingly, this calendar application has modern icons, colors and a more neat event management section. Overall the design is quite similar to the mobile application, so it's understandable if Gmail updates in the same way.

Google Gmail has made the most significant design changes since 2014 when separating its own Inbox application, but the Gmail version on the web has remained unchanged ever.

Google mail about Gmail's new design issue

Gmail's new design will be available in the coming weeks through the G Suite client's Early Access program and personal Gmail account users. Google also intends to test some Chrome extensions to ensure a compatible Gmail experience before being widely released.

Google confirmed 'We are preparing for some major updates on Gmail (still in draft phase),' said Google representative. 'We need more time so we still can't share anything but will let you know when it's time'.
