How to use ASUS Remote Link to control remote Windows computers
ASUS makes one of the most popular Android smartphones, sold under the brand name ZenFone. ASUS is known for its many useful applications for Android ZenFone smartphones and one of them is the ASUS Remote Link application. This application is used to control Windows computers remotely via Android smartphone. The application has four main features: smart gestures, mouse control, slideshow control, media player controls and computer power control.
Although the application is primarily designed for ASUS ZenFone smartphones for use with ASUS notebook computers, you can use this application on any smartphone running Android KitKat and using it. to control computers running Windows 8.1 and above. This is how to use ASUS Remote Link to control remote Windows computers.
Step 1: Download and install Remote Link software on Windows computer according to the following download link: http://remotelink.asus.com/.
Step 2: Download and install the ASUS Remote Link application on your smartphone.
Step 3: Launch the application and find Windows computer via Wifi or Bluetooth. If Wifi is turned on, a list of computers running Remote Link software will display, select your computer from that list. If Bluetooth is turned on, users will have to pair the device first.
Step 4: Then, use Remote Link application to control the computer via mouse control, slideshow, media player and PC power control.
Mouse control comes with smart gestures and left and right mouse buttons. The slideshow control feature used for PowerPoint presentations and media playback features works with all media players including VLC Media Player. Power control feature is used to shutdown, sleep, hibernate, restart or log off Windows computers.
