To speed up the process of copying and transferring data on a USB drive, follow the steps below:
Step 1:
Connect a USB Flash Drive to your computer.
Step 2:
Next right-click the USB Flash Drive, select Format.
Step 3:
Now on the screen that appears the Format window, here you change the File System item to NTFS and leave the Quick Format option unchecked and click Start.
Step 4:
After the format has finished, right-click your USB drive again and select Properties.
On the Properties window, at the Hardware tab, find and select your USB Flash Drive drive name and select Properties.
Step 5:
On the next window, click Change Settings to switch to the Policies tab.
Step 6:
Next on the Policies tab, select the Better Performance option and click OK to finish.
Note:
If you select Better Performance option, you can only eject the USB after clicking the option safely remove your USB.
