How to Resize Cells in Google Sheets

Automatically Resize Columns in Google Sheets

To automatically resize cells in Google Sheets, place your cursor at the right edge of the column header you want to adjust until the cursor changes to a double-headed arrow.

Double-click , and Google Sheets will automatically adjust the column alignment in the table.

To adjust the width of multiple columns at once , press the Ctrl key and then select the columns you want to adjust.

Next, place the cursor to the right of the selected column header. When the double-headed arrow appears, double-click .

Adjust the Cell Size to Fit Your Google Sheets Data

Step 1:

You select one or more columns in Google Sheets, then right-click on any column . An option will appear; click on "Resize selected column ".

Step 2:

Once the interface is displayed, check the " Fit data" option and then click OK below to proceed. Immediately afterwards, the width of each column will automatically change to match the length of the data.

This will align the content displayed within one column without overflowing into cells in another column of the table.
