How to reset auto download on Telegram

The auto-download feature on Telegram helps you download chat data including photos or videos to the library immediately. However, auto-download on Telegram will sometimes fill up the phone's memory. Therefore, in addition to turning off auto-download on Telegram , users can reset Telegram auto-download. Below are instructions for resetting auto-download on Telegram.

Instructions for resetting automatic downloads on Telegram

Step 1:

At the Telegram interface, users click on the 3-dash icon in the left corner. Then click on Settings in the displayed list.

 

Step 2:

Go to the account management interface, scroll down and click on Data and Storage settings to adjust.

 

Step 3:

In the new interface as shown, click on the Reset Auto-Download Settings option to reset the auto-download feature on Telegram.

Then a pop-up appears asking if you are sure you want to reset this feature, we click Reset to do so.

Once you complete the above steps on your device, Telegram's auto-download settings will be reset to default. However, you can re-enable auto-download settings in Telegram whenever you want.

Resetting auto-download settings will not delete previously downloaded files on Telegram. This option only controls future auto-downloads on Telegram.
