Chromium-based Edge is the future of Microsoft Edge on Windows 10. Because the new Edge is based on Chromium, it works very similar to Google Chrome. But Microsoft has made its own mark on this browser. Some of the features that Microsoft is touting include:

  1. Microsoft Search integrates with Bing, reducing the time you spend searching for things at work, by intelligently connecting an organization's documents, websites, locations, conversations, and people.
  2. Internet Explorer mode streamlines the inconvenient experience of browsing the web through two different browsers, by bringing Internet Explorer 11 compatibility directly to Microsoft Edge, creating a simple experience. This is an important feature for more than 60% of organizations worldwide, using IE simultaneously with another browser.
  3. Windows Defender Application Guard helps isolate unreliable websites defined by businesses, protecting the company while employees browse the Internet.

A few have run builders for the first developer and have a great experience. In fact, you can install the Chrome extension and use web applications with it. Microsoft has removed a lot of tracking features and some other options that Google put into Chrome. The result is faster experience, reduced system resource load and better battery life.

If you want to try out the newest features soon, you can join Dev channel (updated weekly) or Canary channel (updated daily). Just be aware that those builds will include bugs and instability.

Hope you are succesful.
