How to block Bing search results from appearing in the Windows 11 Start menu.

When you type keywords into the Windows 11 Start menu, you often get Bing search results, search suggestions, and online results, making the Start menu inefficient and not something you need. We can change some settings to disable Bing search results from the Windows 11 Start menu, as shown in the guide below.

 

How to use the Registry to prevent Bing search results from appearing in the Start menu.

Step 1:

Open the Registry editor on your computer and then navigate to the following path.

Step 2:

Next, right-click on Windows → New → Key and name it Explorer .

Right -click on Explorer and select New → DWORD (32-bit) Value to create a new value. Name this new value DisableSearchBoxSuggestions .

Step 3:

Click directly on the value, then enter 1 and click OK to save. Restart your computer for the changes to take effect.

If you want the changes to take effect immediately without restarting your computer, open Task Manager, right-click on Windows Explorer, and select Restart.
