Chrome browser suddenly dropped, IE sublimated
In recent years, Google's Chrome browser has shown remarkable growth, with an increasing number of users, while Microsoft's Internet Explorer (IE) has lost market share.
However, the latest statistics from Net Applications survey, in the past two months the situation reversed the previous trend. Accordingly, Chrome suddenly lost users, with a market share of 0.31% in September, while IE increased 0.5% market share.
The other two major browsers, Firefox and Safari, lost market share, with a drop of 0.09% and 0.05% respectively.
In terms of details, IE 8 is still the most popular browser version in the world, with a market share of 24.5%, while IE9 accounts for 20.1%. Thus, Microsoft is taking the upper hand with 54.1% of the world browser market.
By pre-installing the IE10 version into Windows 8 operating system, IE's market share is expected to continue to flourish in the future.
Meanwhile, Firefox's market share is 19.9%, ranking second in popularity. The next position in turn belongs to Chrome (18.5%) and Safari (5.2%).
