YouTube lets you search for a song by humming a tune
That tune keeps ringing in your head, but you can't remember the name or even the lyrics of that song to find information.
YouTube wants to solve this problem with a new feature that lets you search for a song just by humming its tune.
Named hum-to-search, this feature was developed by Google to allow you to simply whistle, hum, or make any noise that mimics any tune, to find out which song contains the melody. that tune. In addition to humming to search for the song you're looking for, you can also record a song for identification.
If you are using YouTube and want to experience this feature, just enable YouTube's voice search engine. You must then hum or record the song for a minimum of three seconds, and once the song is identified, you will be directed to the relevant content on the platform.
The results aren't always accurate, but are worth a try if you're stuck with tunes. Also, the feature is currently in beta so it's not certain if it will ever become a mainstream feature.
It's also important to note that due to the experimental nature of this feature, it's currently only available to a "small percentage" of Android YouTube users. This means you will have to wait a while before the feature is widely available. The experimental nature of the feature also means that Google may make some unannounced changes.
