Why Does the Downloaded MP4 File Have No Sound?

1. Try running MP4 files on other media players

You can try playing MP4 files on different media players to check if the error is caused by the music player or the file. Here are some multimedia programs you can use to open MP4 files: VLC Player, GOM Player, MPC-HC Player.

If VLC Player is not installed on your computer, you can download VLC Player and install it here.

If your computer does not have GOM Player installed, you can download GOM Player to your computer and install it here.

If your computer does not have MPC-HC installed, you can download MPC-HC Player to your computer and install it here.

2. Only the MP4 file has an audio loss error?

If only the MP4 file has an audio loss, make sure you tick the MP4 file when setting up the multimedia program.

Part 2: Some causes of MP4 file loss are lost sound

1. Error codecs

Codecs are a small piece of code on the operating system, activated only when a multimedia file or a video game is required to be activated. If a particular codec is not integrated or works improperly, multimedia files or functions will not be activated.

2. Error installing multimedia program

Today the operating system "locked" some functions, this can reduce some of the functions of multimedia programs. In some cases if incorrect settings or updates to unrelated items will cause the media to fail. In these cases you can restore to the previous state using Windows System Restore. Or else you can use another multimedia player instead.

3. Error MP4 file
