Spotify Generic Melody Creation Guide

Spotify has added a new feature that lets you create shared tunes with others. The feature invites your friends to join, then creates a playlist for both of you.

Spotify has updated its Create button to allow you to create a shared playlist with others. The feature will invite your friends to join, then your music tastes will be matched with theirs and a playlist will be automatically created based on Spotify's suggestions. Participants can still add songs to the shared playlist on Spotify. Here's how to create a shared playlist on Spotify.

How to create a common melody on Spotify

Step 1:

On the Spotify app interface, click on the Create button in the bottom right corner. The options below appear, click on Common Melody to proceed with creation.

 

Step 2:

Then you will see the notification interface about the Common Melody feature on Spotify, click Invite to send the link to join to your friends. We can invite up to 10 people to join this common list. Please send the link to this common melody playlist to the person you want to join.

 

Step 3:

When the other person receives and accesses the link, they click Join . The other person will see the content about the melody that matches the musical taste of the two people and introduce the melody that the two people have in common .

Step 4:

This is a shared playlist of songs Spotify recommends that match your musical tastes or those of anyone participating.

 

This general list of tunes is located in the Library for you to access when you want to listen.

Step 5:

In the general melody playlist, click on the 3 dots icon to see the options for this playlist.

For example, we can add members to this shared playlist. Or rename the shared melody playlist as we like.
