Microsoft will allow users to delete default applications on Windows 11

Microsoft will allow users to uninstall applications that come pre-installed on Windows 11 to help maximize devices performance.

This beta has been rolled out to users in the Canary Channel internal program since March this year with the option to uninstall the camera app. In an internal update earlier this month, users were able to remove apps like Cortana, Photo People, and even Remote Desktop.

The general user group (Not registered to the Windows Insider program) will have to wait for the official update to be able to remove the default applications on Windows 11 to save space.

Although it has allowed users to uninstall more default applications on Windows, Microsoft recommends not overusing this because it can cause system programs to work unstable and cause conflicts, even software and application bugs…

Therefore, if after uninstalling a certain default application, you find abnormal signs, users need to reinstall it right on the Microsoft Store store.

After more than 2 years of launch, Windows 11 received many negative reactions from users because the system optimization for AMD chips is not really good, consumes RAM, default applications are too heavy. Therefore, An update this year with a feature that allows users to delete default applications to save space is expected to help devices maximize performance.
